HONG KONG, December 2nd, 2020 – Governance Solutions Group (GSG) presents to the Hong Kong Institute of Directors (HKIoD) on the newly enhanced PRC Securities Law and the impact it will have on company directors and investors.
During his one-hour presentation, Dr. Wang, the CEO of GSG, explains not only the most significant responsibilities directors need to understand, but also, he delivers an analysis of the new registration based IPO system, the due class voting structure on the STAR market, the class action scheme introduced by the new Securities Law, and how the CSRC is likely to sanction companies and responsible persons in violation of the law. Dr. Wang further supports his points with consideration of recent cases of securities fraud, such as Luckin Coffee, KDX and others.
Dr. Wang, a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Directors, has practiced in the Chinese capital market and asset management industry for much of his career as both a PRC and US lawyer. Before founding GSG in 2017, he led the China practice of Simmons & Simmons, a London headquartered global law firm.
